ROAD users can now easily report hazards,
works and street light issues from across the
state via a "one stop shop" website.
Launched last Tuesday, the Report a Road
website is an initiative of the RAA and aims

Reports will be collated by category and
location and directed to the responsible
authority -- be it a government department,
local council or relevant agency.
RAA's senior manager of road safety,
Charles Mountain, said the website could be
used to report everything from "tree limbs
covering speed limit signs" to "sunken ser-
vice pit covers or broken street lights".
"We've had a pretty reasonable response
already, which is amazing, given the web-
site has only been up for a day," he said last

"Road users have been able to contact the
department's 24-hour Traffic Management
Centre to raise any issues," he said.
"With routine maintenance patrols, our
transport officials always endeavour to stay
informed about the state of our road network.
"But it is an extensive network and we are

"We believe the RAA's website will assist
with the collection of additional data and
keep us even more up to date with what's
happening on our roads."
Minister Mullighan said while the new
website allowed for easier information shar-
ing, people should always contact police, the
MFS/CFS or SES in times of emergency.
