RDA economic development
manager Nicolle Jachmann said that
the initiative came about to address
the challenge of attracting investors
and professionals to the Riverland
Ms Jachmann said the Live

She said the cohesive nature of
Riverland towns was sometimes
difficult to convey to investors.
"The prime intents of the
document are to assist business and
industry to attract professionals and
skilled workers from outside of the
region," Ms Jachmann said.
"(Also), to aid in investment
attraction and population growth,
by enabling potential residents
and investors from outside of the
region to understand the unique
way in which the 35,000 people of
the Riverland live, work, play and
interact together as one community.
"It is also intended to answer big
picture questions that may be in the
minds of those considering a move
to the area.
"(It covers) affordable housing,
education options from early
learning through to university, 24-
hour emergency medical care, safety
and our Mediterranean climate."
About 1600 copies of the
magazine are now being distributed
to businesses and community
organisations across the region,
while Ms Jachmann said many
locals with business interests in
Adelaide and across the state had
also requested copies.
A digital version of the document
will also be available for groups and
businesses to attach to their website.
The launch was attended
by many Riverland business
operators, mayors, councillors and
representatives from all sectors.
Ms Jachmann said any businesses
wanting copies of the Live Work Play
Invest Riverland magazine, in hard
or digital copy, can contact the Berri
RDA office on 8580 8500.
